Dr. Ginny Hsu 's laboratory at Oregon Health &Science University School of Dentistry, Department of Orthodontics is recruiting a Research Assistant who can provide a full range of support in the research laboratory. Dr. Hsu's research focus is on Stem Cell based Tissue Engineering and Bone Biology lab. Qulified applicant must obtain Master or Dctoral degree and able to work effectively with the principal investigator and graduate students. The focus of this position will be studying stem cells in orthopedic tissue engineering and treatment for craniofacial skeletal disease.
A strong preference will be given to applicants with past experience or education in the development of stem cell and mineralization tissue expertise, proven record of taking initiative, and a strong educational background. The position includes a modest amount of basic laboratory operations (basic instrumentation maintenance, general laboratory support, biosafety, ordering materials and supplies), primary cell culture, animal care, animal/human samples handling and support with editing grants/manuscripts.
